Sunday 12 January – New year, new you: how to kick start your writing year

Get writing in 2020! This one day retreat will help you get into a regular writing habit, with tools and techniques to sustain your writing throughout the year. Start the year as you mean to go on, with a goal and a clear plan to help you reach it.

Sunday 9 February – When a writer isn’t writing: how to keep your writer’s larder well stocked

A lot of writing happens when we’re not actually working on a writing project. It’s crucial that we use this time to gather the raw material that, when the time comes, will flow onto the page and enrich our writing. This workshop offers you tips and techniques to keep the inspiration flowing.

Sunday 8 March – Choosing the form: when you know what to say but not how best to say it

Having something to communicate is what gets us writing, but how do we decide the best form for any particular subject; poem, short story, memoir, flash fiction, personal essay or novel? This day will help you consider your options and choose the best form of expression for your idea.

Cost

One Sunday – £45.00

All three Sundays – £120.00

The price includes all refreshments, lunch and tuition. There is free parking in the village hall car park.
